Celly and UMOE Advanced Composites AS have launched an advanced hydrogen transportation trailer, set to enter the US market this year. The trailer is engineered to deliver large volumes of hydrogen, addressing the growing demand for both static and transport of hydrogen in North America.

UMOE has logged over six years of hydrogen trailer operations in Europe. The company has 10,000 drop-and-swaps and a cumulative total of 200,000 road miles (321,869 km) traveled.

The transportation trailers are available in 20, 30, and 40-foot containers with flexible capacities reaching up to 1587 pounds (720 kg). The trailers support hydrogen transportation and static storage at 5076 psi (350 bar) pressure. According to Celly, the trailer has passed European safety tests, including burst, impact, and fire safety standards. The trailer is constructed with a Type 4 polymer liner wrapped and advanced fiber composite wrap, featuring lightweight, heat-resistant, non-corrosive, and chemical-resistant properties. It has an enclosed modular design, ensuring compliance with load and safety requirements and adaptability for different transportation infrastructures.
