1 minute(s) Read

Nominations are being accepted for the Turbine Inlet Cooling Association’s (TICA) Turbine Inlet Cooling Award. Presented annually, the Turbine Inlet Cooling Award recognizes turbine users/owners/operators who have demonstrated the successful implementation and use of at least one turbine inlet cooling technology for a GE aero-derivative gas turbine. TICA will give one award for each turbine inlet cooling technology.

TICA will use the following criteria for evaluating the nominations:

  • Total number of turbines using turbine inlet cooling (20%)
  • Total kW power increase due to turbine inlet cooling system (20%)
  • Percent increase in capacity by turbine inlet cooling (20%)
  • Age of turbine inlet cooling installations: The older the turbine inlet cooling system, the better the score (20%)
  • Noteworthy/innovative details of the turbine inlet cooling system or its use (20%)

Each awardee will receive a plaque to display at the power plant, a US$100 VISA gift card, and free TICA membership for one year. In addition, TICA will post the awardee names and systems info on its website and LinkedIn page and issue a press release with awardee names and their system highlights.

The nomination deadline is February 28, 2025.

The award ceremony will take place on April 1, 2025, during the Western Turbine Users Conference in Long Beach, California. Winners must be present at the conference to accept their award.
