Accelleron has signed a three-year agreement to deliver turbocharger services to Starlite Ferries Inc (Starlite), a shipping company in the Philippines. The passenger ferry operator has extended the scope and duration of its Turbo LifecycleCare agreement, adding another vessel to the seven previously covered. Starlite is also adding Accelleron’s digital engine optimization solution, Tekomar Xpert, to all eight vessels.
Starlite serves daily traffic of around 10,000 passengers and more than 1500 vehicles. With this contract, Accelleron retains responsibility for service planning and spare parts ordering for 16 type A135-M turbochargers.
Turbo LifecycleCare agreements for four-stroke engines in the marine industry and power generation cover standard spare parts, wear and tear, and labor. Contracts are based on actual running hours, with guaranteed uptime across the entire service lifecycle. Adding Tekomar Xpert will allow operators to manage environmental compliance, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and optimize fuel efficiency with instant engine diagnostics and advisories delivered automatically through every voyage.
Accelleron works on turbocharging technologies and optimization solutions for 0.5- to 80-MW engines, providing reliable power to the marine, energy, rail, and off-highway sectors. It has an installed base of approximately 180,000 turbochargers and a network of more than 100 service stations across 50 countries.
