Zahroof Valves Inc. (ZVI) has named Brian Bertelsen as senior vice president of sales and chief commercial officer. His responsibilities span all aspects of global sales and marketing for ZVI, as well as business partnership development.
Bertelsen earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin — Madison. He began his career at the Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend Refinery, serving as a machinery reliability engineer for all types of rotating equipment and specializing in compressors. He later served in the global reliability engineering group for the Eastman Chemical Company. Bertelsen joined Neuman & Esser (NEA) in 2008 as the President of NEA Compressor Service USA where he oversaw the NEA and legacy brand aftermarket business for North America.
Headquartered in Houston, ZVI offers compressor valves based on its modular reed valve technology. Its StraightFlo valve is a drop-in replacement compressor valve that is made up of replaceable reed valve modules designed so gas flows essentially in a straight line through the valve.
