Enphase Energy Expands IQ8 Microinverter Deployments In Virginia, Utah, Illinois, Pennsylvania, And Maryland

Enphase Energy (Enphase), a global energy technology company and one of the largest global suppliers of microinverter-based solar and battery systems, announced that installers of Enphase products in Virginia, Utah, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Maryland have seen growing deployments of Enphase Energy Systems powered by IQ8 microinverters.

According to the US Solar Market Insight report from Wood Mackenzie and the Solar Energy Industries Association, residential solar deployments in Virginia are forecast to reach approximately 104 MW in 2023, representing a 37% increase from 2021. Residential solar deployments in Utah are forecast to reach approximately 63 MW in 2023, representing a 40% increase from 2019. Residential solar deployments in Illinois are forecast to reach approximately 132 MW in 2023, representing a 13% increase from 2022. Residential solar deployments in Pennsylvania are forecast to reach approximately 77 MW in 2023, representing a 10% increase from 2022. Residential solar deployments in Maryland are forecast to reach approximately 92 MW in 2023, representing a 25% increase from 2022.

According to the most recent US Energy Storage Monitor report from the Energy Storage Association and Wood Mackenzie, residential battery deployments are expected to grow by 2026 by more than two-fold in Utah, three-fold in Virginia, five-fold in Illinois, and eight-fold in Maryland.

Enphase said its IQ8 microinverters maximize the value for homeowners wanting battery backup by eliminating sizing restrictions when pairing with IQ batteries. With the Sunlight Jump Start feature, IQ8 Microinverters can restart a home energy system using only sunlight after a prolonged grid outage that drains the battery. This eliminates the need for a manual restart of the system and gives homeowners greater assurance of energy resilience. Enphase IQ8 solar microinverters come with a 25-year limited warranty.
