Neuman & Esser Compressors For Hydrogen Boosting And Recycling In China

Neuman & Esser Beijing will supply four compressor systems to China Inner Mongolia Sanwei New Material Co. Ltd. (CIMSNM). The compressors will be used for hydrogen boosting and recycling during 1,4Butanediol (BDO) processing. BDO is used industrially as a solvent and in the manufacture of some types of plastics, elastic fibers, and polyurethanes.

The order calls for two 4-stage, 2-crank Type 4SZS320 vertical compressors, each rated 2949 hp (2200 kW), and two 1-stage, 1-crank Type 1SES130 vertical compressors, each rated 603 hp (450 kW). The flow rates are 16,000 Nm3/h and 61,300 Nm3/h, respectively. The discharge pressure is more than 4351 psi (300 bar).

The compressors will be manufactured by Neuman & Esser in Germany. System auxiliaries will be provided by Neuman & Esser Beijing from China. The units are expected to be delivered to the customer in the first half of 2023.
