Korea Gas Technology Corp. (KOGAS) has been selected by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to lead a project on the development of infrastructure for hydrogen-based public transportation. KOGAS will build charging stations for hydrogen fuel-cell electric buses in the UAE, which are also capable of producing hydrogen via water electrolysis. The technology aims to produce more than 35 kilograms of hydrogen per hour, provide two consecutive and simultaneous charges for two buses, and fill more than 1000 kilograms each day.

KOGAS plans to invest a total of US$30 million in the project by December 2025.
